I currently work on a visualisation of radiation values from the public SPEEDI
network provided by
the Disaster Prevention and Nuclear Safety Network for Nuclear Environment of
Japan
This monitoring network is concentrated on the surrounding area of nuclear facilities, so it is not quite uniformly distributed over the country.

The tabular and georeferenced data is used to generate a digital terrain modell in which the radaiationvalues are represented by height.
